Montecarotto, Marche 60036

Not far from the town of Senigallia and its beaches lies this magnificent farmhouse, situated in a panoramic location with views over the surrounding hills, the villages perched above them and, above all, the hills of Arcevia and Mount Catria, which form part of the Apennines. From here, the Marche Airport and the Frasassi Caves are easily accessible, as are towns such as Ancona, the Sanctuary of Loreto, and the towns of Osimo and Recanati. We are situated in the municipality of Montecarotto, a small village whose historic centre is characterised by its castle walls. Here, agriculture and wine-growing notably the production of the renowned Verdicchio wine are the main economic activities; this has ensured that the village has remained economically viable and thus offers all the necessary amenities for living in the area. The main building is spread over two levels. On the ground floor are the rooms that were formerly used as stables, a cellar and henhouses, but which can be converted into living spaces as part of a renovation project; then there is the first floor with a large terrace, giving a total floor area of 300 square metres. The courtyard surrounding the property covers approximately 6,000 square metres; it is completely flat and, given its panoramic views, is ideal for installing a swimming pool. Access to the farmhouse is via a short private road branching off the tarmac road; the location is therefore secluded but not isolated. Water and electricity are connected to the farmhouse. This property is well suited for conversion into a holiday home or a guesthouse. Asking price: 135,000
