Rosignano Marittimo, Tuscany

Reference: RLHP-T3708. Set in one of the most exclusive stretches of the Etruscan Coast, in Castiglioncello, this seafront villa is an outstanding 1961-1963 work by Leonardo Ricci, a master of existentialist architecture. Extending to approximately 290 sqm over three staggered levels, the residence appears to emerge from the rock, with bold volumes, extensive glazing and changing levels that create a constant dialogue between interiors, Mediterranean vegetation and the sea. The principal living area combines sitting, conversation and dining spaces around an important fireplace. Exposed concrete, timber finishes and pale flooring reinforce its contemporary character, while the bright kitchen opens directly onto the outdoor areas, terraces and patios overlooking the pool. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms offer privacy for family and guests, with potential sea-view suites. Balconies and panoramic terraces give each level a privileged relationship with the garden, pool area, Mediterranean scrub or coastal horizon. The private garden of approximately 1,000 sqm wraps around two sides of the villa, with lawns, paved terraces and planted screening that preserves privacy without sacrificing the sea view. A pool, sunbathing and lounge areas, plus private parking for two cars, complete the property. Pineta Marradi and Baia del Quercetano are nearby, as is Marina Cala de' Medici with 650 berths, while Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci and Tuscany's art cities enrich this refined coastal setting.
