Torriglia, Liguria

Reference: RLHP-T3732. In the evocative Ligurian Apennines, between the upper Bisagno Valley and the Scrivia Valley at Passo della Scoffera, this monumental period estate offers 1,550 sqm of total internal surface within a private park of 12,180 sqm. Designed and built between 1910 and 1914 by the celebrated architect Gino Coppedè for entrepreneurs Carlo and Giacomo Becchi, the complex is a remarkable expression of his eclectic vision, blending Romanesque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau influences. The property comprises a 464 sqm turreted castle, a 684 sqm principal villa, two independent cottages and ancillary buildings, with 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, frescoed reception rooms and extensive terraces. Carefully restored to preserve its original character, the estate combines aristocratic early twentieth-century details with versatile accommodation. The villa unfolds across three above-ground levels plus a lower-ground floor, featuring refined wood floors and a formal dining room with a finely frescoed coffered timber ceiling. The castle forms the scenic heart of the estate, with battlements, turrets and walkways, an antique fireplace in its reception hall, a striking spiral staircase within the tower, marble capitals, solid-wood joinery and a private terrace accessing the upper tower walkway. The 237 sqm castle cottage and 149 sqm villa cottage are complemented by 88 sqm of storage spaces. Four residential units and an event area allow independent management. The enclosed grounds feature mature planting, farmland, stone avenues, period gates and service cottages. Close to Genoa, Torriglia and Davagna, the estate suits a distinguished family residence, exclusive hospitality or high-profile events. Rif:17282
